Khalsa Primary is a relatively new Sikh faith school in a brand new building set in beautiful surroundings. We are a two form entry primary school catering for pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

At the core of the school is our belief that 'together we shine'. Our strength lies in our community and we place great emphasis on including not only the children our care, but their parents and families and the general public too. We know that these community values feed through to above average academic results, and shape children with deeply embedded spiritual and social values.

The principles of Sikhism inform everything we do at Khalsa Primary. Our three Golden Rules are based on the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of our religion. With daily prayer and regular celebrations of Sikh festivals, children are given a grounding in spiritual understanding to sustain them through their lives.

Our children benefit from regular visits and events at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Saba in Southall, with whom we have close ties.

We are very proud of our Year 6 attainment results. Our children's progress scores in the summer of 2023 were above average in reading and well above average in maths. 80% of our children achieved the expected levels in reading, writing and maths, higher than the local authority average of 68%, and the national average of 60%

Sewa means 'selfless service' and is an integral part of the Sikh faith, and of life at Khalsa Primary. Our children have many opportunities to perform sewa in and around the local community. Our litter picking teams regularly venture out into Norwood Park to help tidy it up, and our children help the lunchtime staff by clearing plates and helping younger children in the dining hall.

You can keep up to date with what our sewadars have been up to by following us on Twitter and Instagram, and subscribing to our newsletter.

Khalsa Primary School is situated in the quiet neighbourhood of Norwood Green and our children are within walking distance of the beautiful parkland at Osterley House, waterways such as the Brent Canal and are also a short journey from busy town centres like Hounslow and Southall.

We are extremely lucky to have a wonderful building which is set in a quiet and beautiful corner of London. We moved into our purpose built school in 2009 and our children, families and staff enjoy the use of bright open spaces indoors, inviting classrooms and communal spaces such as our Darbar Sahib and main hall which is used for P.E, lunches, assemblies and faith celebrations.

We are always available to show you around the school and demonstrate why a place at Khalsa Primary School is such a good start to your child's educational journey. Jaspreet Pooni in the school office is available to give you any advice you might need and to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you and your children and to welcoming you into our community.
